Well, it's about time I cheered up a bit.  The last couple of months have been dire, especially considering it was summer - I didn't even make Writers' Con this year which upset me.

Two weeks ago I got my new Photoshop, my final registration papers for OU, and a video collection (Blue Planet, Sir David) all on one day, which raised my spirits a ( Read more... )

Good luck with your course. I hope it proves the tonic you need, and opens up lots of new areas for you to explore :-)

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I shall take them my heart and cherish them.

After spending the afternoon reading the intro booklets and then the first part of the first book I was feeling OK until I looked again at the first assignment - now I'm officially panicking!

What course are you signed up for? I'm due to start my psychology modules in October, then a counselling course in May, but haven't gotten any books yet as my registration didn't go through until Saturday. I was panicking as it took ages for my financial support to kick in this year and I'll only have maybe four weeks before my first tma!

I'm doing Art and its Histories, a subject I've been wanting to study formally for the last 30 years or so.

I know that the registration was a bit slow - I was panicking about my financial support last week. So I Know how you feel. I was very lucky because I wasn't too aware of the date when I first applied - a couple of weeks later and it would have been too late.

Now there's the work - I've looked at my first TMA (due 12 Nov)and I'm panicking all over again. Hopefully, when I get my hands on the course books I have to get myself, it will look better!

I was thinking only yesterday that I hadn't heard from you for a while. What's happening?

B. is incredibly enthusiastic about his new bicycle seat. I'm back at work. We're going camping this weekend. B. is having some back problems, and making decisions about what to do about it when.

So good he posts it twice!

I was wondering if you were back at work yet and also wondering if the job was still there. I remember your saying something about jobs cuts and that they would be affecting yours. I'm glad they've not got rid of you yet, you seem to enjoy it there so much.

B's enthusiastic about his bicycle seat? I assume it's because of its comfort/aerodynamics rather than its sniffing potential - cos presumably that would be yours! *G*.

Have a good weekend - oh, it's Saturday already.

I hope you had a good weekend. Where did you go?

It's been years since I went camping I do rather enjoy it, though.

Oh, and I hope that B gets his back sorted out - is this about surgery?

Which course are you going to be doing now?

I bought the Student/Teaching copy of PhSh from Amazon - £165. My first legal copy *G* - there's posh!

And yes, we must speak soon, I've been thinking about for the last couple of days. I'm sorry to hear that things have been so bad - a good moan will do us good.
*hugs and kisses*
