I'm so sorry for your loss. Dogs and cats are family (other pets too), and I hope the love you received for eight years can help to balance the grief. They are worth it.

So sorry to hear of your loss. They do leave such a hole in our hearts. Shaka died in October 2011 and I still miss him terribly.
