practice with who? if i had anyone to practice with, i wouldn't have needed to pay for lessons. and i don't have money for more. it's not that i failed that's upsetting me, it's that i don't know how i'm going to get to try again.
i have friends with cars, but i don't need tips, i need practice. i've already asked them for help and have gotten the "yeah, i don't think it's a good idea."
and i did talk to the person who failed me. she drew me maps and everything. the point is still that i don't have a car to use to practice on in the meantime, nor to use for my next road test.
I failed my first time, too. And I had a car my parents bought for me just to practice on. Don't be discouraged.
If I were still there, I'd have you to my house to practice on one or both of my cars.
My suggestion is that you use your learner's permit as much as possible. When your parents go food shopping, ask to drive. Saturday errands? Ask to drive. Etc.
the car from the driving school. the reason i had to finally suck it up and go to driving school is because bob has refused to teach me and forbidden me to use the car to learn on. and i've tried asking as recently as last week.
i know you want to shut down and hide from this, but please don't do that, sweetie. it's not a reflection of you as a person - like lots of folk have said, the driving test is fucking hard and most people have to retake it at least once. if it helps, think of the first time as the practice run. now you know exactly what the driving test is like, and you can approach it without the fear of the unknown you had before.
it's not about failing the test. i don't understand why everyone thinks i'm "overreacting" about failing. it's that i had an entire new life riding on passing this test and, at the time, didn't think i was going to have another chance (because no one is willing to let me use their car unless i pay them $700).
Stupid driving testers. I think they do it on purpose to get extra test fees sometimes..
But I *so* wish I was close. We'd be driving everywhere together. (Or really you'd be my personal chauffer. mwaha)
Seriously though, I wish I could help. I know it takes just lots of experience to get comfy and I don't understand why no one will help you with that. :(

I find it difficult to believe you don't have a single friend who owns a car of their own. Any of them would be happy to give you tips, I'm sure.
If you want, I can give you dozens of tips which I've found useful in my eighteen years of driving.
And finally -- cheer up! People do fail their drivers' tests, sometimes repeatedly. You'll pass it with another try. Wait and see. :)
cheers,
Phil
