so i guess Mom knew yesterday, but waited until today to make known (because she wanted me to enjoy my New Year's), that Aunt Dot has cancer in her liver and lungs. she had to wait until after the holiday weekend to see a oncologist, so we still don't know the extent, just the fact thereof. she's going to need to be on oxygen, and that's about
