Change of birthday plans (in light of recent news)
For those who were planning on coming to my birthday gathering on February 11th .... that has been canceled.
It was going to be held at the Taylor household (my neighbors, in case you don't know), but Cynthia (*Momma*) is having major surgery on her left shoulder on February 7th. It is inpatient surgery, and we don't know how long she has to stay at the hospital, or how long her total recovery time (at home) will be. Her doctor said she will be *down* for 3-6 months, at least, from what I understand (someone correct me, if I am wrong). Therefore, even if we had the manpower to cook and clean for (and after) the party, I wouldn't feel right infringing on her home while she is recovering from her surgery. We decided we will try to make up for it during the spring or summer, where it will be nicer outside for Troy to grill his yummy pork chops.
B.J. and I have out-of-town plans for that weekend, so I won't be home for most of February 10th and 13th, and all of the 11th and 12th. I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience (spelling?) this causes anyone, but I hope you understand why we came to this decision this afternoon.

BTW, Cynthia was able to catch my other bird so they are both happily chirping in their cage now. I decided the male should be named Raleigh. Yeah, I'm an odd one. ;-)
