Marauders Story Update! 22a

Jan 25, 2006 15:25

What's this? An update that isn't at 4 in the morning??

I got an email saying that I could pre-order the new Sims Open For Business (which looks pretty cool, I'm excited for the new kids toys) and that made me realize just how far behind I am on these stories. I mean, most of the screen caps in this post are from August. So I've got some free time today, so this is uh, what I'm going to do.

These are all Remus and Sirius and their growing family.

We'll open with this picture, just because it's cute. (Although you should note that afterward, rather than happy about the quality time he spent with his daughter, Sirius was just angry that she didn't tip him for playing.)

That night at dinner, Sirius brings up the baby they talked about last time. You know, the one he wants Remus to carry.

I think Remus must've gotten over the initial shock, because he's pretty taken with the idea now.

In fact, Remus would like to get this baby-making deal started right now.

As happy as Sirius is, he pauses for a moment to make absolutely sure Remus is ready to tackle such an...uncomfortable ordeal.

But Remus is steadfast and strangely serious on the subject. Mostly, he wants to get it over with before he completely loses his nerve.

So, they make their way to the bedroom. (The stairs are politely disappearing so the camera can fit through.)

"Now, are you positive you want to do this?"

"For the love of God, Sirius. Let's just get on with it."

It's only afterward that Remus Lupin's steadfast absolutely surety begins to wane, and he begins to wonder just how that baby feels coming out there.

Cut to the next morning. Soon after purchasing a giant fountain to pretty-up their yard, Sirius comes out with a big box of soap.

And a rather mischievous expression.

And creates this mess that someone who is most assuredly not himself will have to clean up. (Observe his leg just disappearing out of frame as he makes his quick getaway.)

Remus is a tad too busy to scold him or clean up the suds, however. He's busy creating his own mess. (I love the flecks of vomit spewing every which way.)

This mess is also construed as Sirius's fault.

Exhausted from a night of puking, Remus sits down to watch the Food Network.

You'd think looking at more food would make a Sim in his condition sick.

But he's enjoying himself.

Remus is, however, still just a tad sore at Sirius.

To er, relax himself, Remus spends the rest of the day compulsively cleaning the house.

Stressed by her father's apparent stress, Lyra stays up late into the night gardening.

In the middle of said night, Remus is awoken by some curious stomach pains. He wakes up a tad thicker than he was when he went to bed.

Sirius leaps out of bed almost immediately to investigate and caress.

In just about the cutest picture ever, Sirius cheers in excitement about his new baby, and Remus just looks up to see who Sirius is cheering at.

Oh yeah, I'm sure violent tickling is good for the baby.

Tickling soon turns more serious...

And before you know it, they're going in for Round 2.

The family all eat breakfast together, although Sirius is looking like he's having some difficulty with the fork.

He's positively glowing...*wipes up drool*

Coming out of the bath, Remus dons his first maternity clothes. They're Hawaiian themed. Heh.

Later that day, Sirius explains to Lyra why Remus is so fat all of a sudden. The news of a new sibling goes over well.

So well that it prompts her to pointedly do her homework in front of Remus and not make a peep!

And then she even cleans out the toilet after her father vomits into it. What a good little trooper.

For some reason, Sirius begins to take on the pregnancy mood swings instead of Remus.

*Groan* They had better not make him the godfather or anything.

When Remus wakes up the next morning...

He's suddenly just a little bit bigger than the day before.

*blink* ... yeah that's confusing me too.

It's only after he gives Remus the dishes to clean up that Sirius thinks maybe he should've offered to do them.

Remus is feeling pretty damn good about himself.

Pretty damn good. He's muscular...

He's got a winning smile...

And don't even get him started about his testicles. Whew, he could go on all night.

That day, Sirius heads off to the marketplace to get some new clothes for the coming baby and some groceries.
At the market, he runs into someone he wasn't expecting.

Draco Malfoy.

It was stated once (a very long time ago) that Pure Bloods are suckers for swing sets. The same holds true for this next generation of Evil Doers. (As if anyone could look Evil-Doing on a Fisher Price swing set.)

Before leaving the lot, Sirius makes one more go at conversation, this time telling a great joke about muggle government.

And how they're using up all the world's oil supply.

Draco finds this hilarious.

It's not too long after Sirius comes home...

Lyra comes as well, and with her brings...

The Bald Freak, AKA the Peter Reincarnate. He's back and he's got a problem with his legs.

Lyra comes into the house and shows Sirius her glowing report card.

Sirius has a hard time staying on topic and starts to tell Lyra that her good report card makes him feel warm in the tummy, which is the same effect that soup has on him.

Lyra backs away as Sirius begins to wax poetically about said soup.

"Why the fuck is he talking about soup?" Lyra wonders.

It's easier to walk away from crazy people confused than stick around and go crazy trying to understand why they're ranting about the difference between tomato and chicken noodle.

Upstairs, the Peter Reincarnate is having some grand fun practicing murdering the entire family.

The family sits down to dinner, stupidly offering the Peter Reincarnate an invitation to join them.

They all look a bit concerned when he sits down, except for Sirius, who is bug-eyed with surprise. Remus looks very concerned that the Peter Reincarnate doesn't want to talk about make-up.

Lyra asks Sirius a few questions...

But when the Peter Reincarnate brings up pretty pearl necklaces (perfect to strangle his victims with), no one cares to listen.

Later that night, the Peter Reincarnate is picked up by a man with no eyes.

While Sirius sleeps in bed, plagued with a nightmare, Remus gets up quickly. The moment he's been dreading is fast approaching.

As he exits the bedroom, Remus gives me a wink. He's got everything all under control.
