12th Partridge [Action/Voice/Event]

[You know what's horrifying? Holograms. You know what's even worse? Being Ian during them. So when you hear the horrified shrieks in the plaza, it's probably just Ian being carried by a group of lumberjacks toward a GIANT WHIRRING WOODCHIPPER. Suffice to say, Mr. Kolansky is flailing above their heads in complete terror.]

PLEASE NO, NOT THE CHIPPER ( Read more... )

get out the pitchforks, get to da wood chippa!!, parents day = ian's world holiday ;;

... I... would appreciate a-access to your medicines, Mr. Kolansky.

[Firstly, he can actually study them now. Secondly, too many of his friends are getting hurt during this latest mess. Not seriously hurt, mind you, but enough to make him worry.]

I can give you some, then! [-well, he worries.] Is someone hurt, Robert?

Ah - many of my friends are, er, c-combatants. [He neglects to mention that eventually he might fall under this category himself.] Though the... s-simulated creatures cannot cause much d-damage, they have still done minor amounts of damage... and, c-cumulatively, it could become an issue.

As for myself... well, I have been... i-injured in crossfires, but less severely...

[Mostly, anyway.]

Then tell me where you are! I can get those fixed up right now, so ya' don't gotta deal with 'em anymore.

[Robert's voice is almost apologetic.] I, er, am... a-attempting to stay around Community Building Three for the time being. [It's, er, a break from running around trying to take holophotographs of all the things. Probably not a long break, though.]

But I would... n-not wish to waste your time, especially when there are those in... m-much greater need of your assistance.

You, waste my time? Don't be silly. I'm on my way to Building Three, then!

[The sound of him moving is easy to hear, as he shuffles through the forest brush.]

Where'll you be, in the building?

Er... as much as I can be, at the moment. It... t-tends to change rather rapidly.

Some of the w-worlds it has... represented are entirely bizarre...

[Indeed, the community building is looking pretty weird right now. It's a mishmash of different pieces of worlds that, altogether, are nearly unidentifiable. Robert is standing near the entrance, intrigued by an area that looks very much like a piece of Terran architecture.

He doesn't look too banged up - most of his injuries are clearly very minor.]

[Oh, then you won't mind in your focus when Ian strolls casually behind you and cheerily hollers a]

HELLO THERE, ROBERT~!!

[o/ sparkle sparkle

Also, don't mind his torn up clothes. He's just been getting gnawed on and clawed at a lot lately.]

[Holy shit -]

Ah! [Robert yelps and stumbles back a bit at Ian's loud shout. Something like that out of nowhere when Robert's already jumpy? Not good for sanity.]

...

Ah.

... Mr. Kolansky. I... I a-apologize.

[Now that the initial panic is over: he notices the treeman's torn clothes, though honestly, with his lack of fashion sense, he probably doesn't notice much awry about it.]

No need for apologize, it happens a lot more than you'd think.

SO!! Are you ready for some fixing upping?

[He's glad to see you don't look too bad, at least.]

I certainly am... [Most of this is actually curiosity. He's been wanting to know how this medicine worked for ages ever since he realized what exactly it was.

... And he's still curious about what properties Ian's blood has that allows this to work. But mostly he's just grateful that someone like Ian is gracious enough to share.]

[He suddenly has a small vial in his hand, thanks to his coat pocket, and is holding it up for him to take.]

Are you sure? After all, you know what it is... Don't wanna' make you uncomfortable, or anything.

Wh-why would it make me uncomfortable...? You gave consent for its use... [And, well, other medicines and the like were initially sourced from unpleasant places.]

I actually... have my nanocomputer now, so if you would n-not be adverse to me studying it, then... I would be most pleased to. [Though chances are he won't find much of anything.

At any rate, though, he carefully takes the vial, cradling it in his palm like it's extremely delicate.]

Well, I mean-some people can be... sorta' grossed out by the blood part?

[V_V]

You can do whatever y'want with it, really.

[All he'll notice is that the cell structure isn't like a typical human's, anyway. Also, when said cells come in contact with human cells? Human cells absorb it. It's fuckin' weird.]

[... There are blood-borne diseases and the like to worry about, Robert hadn't considered that strongly yet. But if Ian is another species, it's strongly unlikely that they will affect him, or anybody else save another tree-person.]

Would you w-wish to see, actually? Er, at a more... convenient time, of course...? It is too dangerous to do much in the way of r-research at this moment...

That sounds like a pretty cool idea, actually. I'd like that a lot.
