I'd like to keep them for the eggs, and as pets. This breed is supposed to be really gentle. I don't think I could ever "process" my own chickens and eat them. Gah.

Orpingtons are a wonderful breed to have as pets. They are very low key, friendly and gentle. I miss mine.... :(

Yay, someone who has had chickens before. Gentle chickens are a top priority for me. I've met some nasty ones before!
