My brother was in a car accident.

Yesterday after work I had a message from my dad saying that my brother had been in a pretty bad car accident.  He had his seatbelt on, so thank God that he didn't get thrown from the car, but he got a very bad laceration on his knee, broke his kneecap, and his heel on the other leg.  He went in for surgery last night

Wow..that sucks.

If your dad doesn't want you driving, maybe you could take the amtrak up? It'd be cheaper than driving anyway. I know it runs through Carbondale twice a day.

Hey, I know they don't want you out on the streets, but if something happens and you really want to go, I can drive with you since I'm off for a few days. I'm glad he was wearing his seat belt! That may have saved his life. We'll be thinking about you. Call us if you need anything!
