I'm getting really sick of Erskineville! All my neighbours are snooty fucktards that are obsessed with what time you take your bins in and bikes chained out the front and not playing music/talking in your own back yard after 9:30 and passive agressive notes to us and the real estate and all sorts of bollocks! aaaaaaaaaaaarg I hate hate hate them

True, but they are father away from stuff, when the stuff comes to them maybe I will too, but then I guess gentrification was what I was complaining about in the first place?

Haha I just read this Judith Butler interview and she sums up the neighbours pretty well:

"No. We’re not in control, but that does not mean we don’t exercise a certain kind of conditioned agency. That’s what it means to live in a community. That’s what it means to live in society. We get jostled on the bus and so on. We could try to become rich enough so that we could completely control our environment. Right? So that, walking down the street, or there is no street-there’s only our privately owned driveway where we get in our privately owned car and someone privately drives us to wherever we privately go."
