seriously, this has been a source of major confusion for me for some time now:
is it "an m&m" or "a m&m" ??

Well I always say 'an' M&M. Generally I think you use 'an' whenever you mention a single letter than begins with a vowel sound like 'an L' or 'an R'. Watch Wheel of Fortune...

i sat there for about 10 misn trying to figure it out & now my head hurts. I think technically it'd be a but an sounds better

its 'an' whenever the following phonic is a vowel. so 'm' is actually 'em'
