Making Your Livejournal Into A Book

May 24, 2009 13:57

Has anyone ever made their livejournal into a book??

I'd love to hear more about how this can work & how much work it takes to do it.

I've done it with LJ Book. It's easy and my favorite tool. I printed out my journals at my old work and then had them bound in each year. I love having hard copies for posterity.

did you look into any other printing options?
I'm curious about how I can have it printed once I've got it made into a pdf (I think that's what LJ book does?)... and can you edit your entries with LJ Book?

I did look into other options, but being in the publishing industry it was hard to relinquish control. I had no idea what the printing quality would have been, or binding. I did look up a lot of other places, that were good deals, but when you wanted to do them each year like I did the cost was greater than binding everything altogether.

You cannot really edit entries, as it creates a PDF. If you have Acrobat Pro you can move things around, otherwise once it creates it you're set. There are options to choose from before it creates it, which you can see on their website www.ljbook.com

the above comment was from me.
I looked at the lj book site & it didn't seem to have much info on it at all.. do you know if you can make separate pdfs for separate years?

Oh, thank you! :)
Yes, everything's fine- we're on vacation! :)
I need to do a post soon with what we've been doing & I haven't posted pics on here in forever!! I do have some on my photog blog, but I'll have to get some on here, too.

Thanks for caring! :)
