Dr. Chariker just thinks it was an injury ("hematoma?") that happened under the skin that i already healed (go me!), but the excess blood couldn't drain out because it was under my callous/scar tissue. that's why it was dark...dried blood i guess? so he did a debridement, like, right then in his office. it didn't take very long, but all the dark

From my limited experience, I've mostly seen ppl with hematoma on blood thinners, usually the injectable ones. and they look scary but usually resolve...
Don't worry too much, now you know way better than years back...
