Do you sew? It seems like it would be a simple resize if you know how to sew. If not, I'm no help. Even if you can, I'm no help, really.

haha, unfortunately, there are few things I suck more at than sewing. I think I might just try the hot wash thing...

Yeah, I'm that way, too. I would try it, but. Somehow try it so it's not like SO hot that. I don't know.
