I was just going to recommend calling the better business bureau and reporting him. Because the law is not on his side. Giving a two week notice at a job is not a law, only a courtesy in society. And polite society is definitely not mandated as displayed by this quite insane man. I would also have to question if he made any of these comments to you while you were working there? Because if he did, you quite possibly have a case to receive unemployment or such because of the hostile and abusive environment that he created.

he also said that if i had left on good terms, he would have just handed me 400 dollars in cash and called it even, but since i never called, he would make it has hard as possible, within the legal limits, to get my check.

what a fucking bastard, huh? i wish id brought a tape recorder in with me...
its hard to believe someone would say something like this. i was the one being talked to, and even I dont believe it..

i don't think it matters if you left on bad terms, legally i really don't think he can just not give you your check, you worked the hours, it's your money.. what is he your dad? haha. fuck him, i hope you get your check cuz that is just really lame.

yeah, i asked him one time if he was my dad or something.

all i have to say is the next time i check the mail at my old apartment, that check had better be in the mail box..

hey i went through this shit at walmart when i left florida and they tried to fuck me over by sending a check in the mail then cancelling it because i didnt get it and then never sending another so it bounced in my account when it was cancelled and i had already spent the money.... well they told me that i could legally get the money and all the fees from them because they fucked me over pretty much...
so if you dont have your check ASAP i would tell him to place a stop payment on the first one and issue you a new one right away... and get people like the BBB and police to back you up... I would tell him if he doesn't pay up then it's gonna cost triple once you take him to court!
