It was reassuring to come to the end of your insightful and painful poem and find a positive sentiment! I would have loved another stanza wherein we discover how that lesson was learned! Strong work.

I don't even know if I know how it was learned. I don't want to go so far as to say "I woke up one morning and realized..." but it's pretty close. I tried writing that stanza about a dozen times and just couldn't figure out what to say.
