I think she struggled with the decision for a moment, but after two or three decades of seeing her father drink himself into oblivion on an almost daily basis, and then seeing that his drinking was more important than her son's life, the decision was made rather easily.

Whoa !!!

That was some twist ... but on hindsight that decision was not so hard to make considering the kind of life the father led. And atleast in death he became useful to needy people.

This was a great take on prompt.
