They were never violent with each other, so at least we were spared that. They really knew how to dig in deep with their words, but there wasn't any violence. I guess it could have been worse, but it definitely wasn't easy to watch.

Some people realize pretty late that they aren't meant to be. From a child's POV it's devastating any given time. *Hugs* The prompt fits perfectly.

My parents got married because my mother got pregnant with me. My father's parents didn't even know about her or her pregnancy until he was visiting them six weeks before I was born, and I decided to come early. He had to take a last minute flight to be there for my birth, and told his parents then.

So yeah, their marriage should never have happened. Though, if they never got married, I wouldn't have my brother and sister, so I guess I'm glad they went with it at the time.

Yeah, I'm still a little bitter about it 16 years later. I have a feeling my mother told my father she was done, and he gave her an option: tell the kids RIGHT THEN or he was walking out. I don't think the timing was discussed by either party though.
