You're right-- Keven _was_ pretty cool about your role as designated distractor. He seemed to make an effort to entertain _you_ while you had the directive to do the same for him. That sounded kind of nice.

The senior party... ugh, ugh, ugh. That sounds revolting, and it's awful that the other girl would manipulate you into giving her and her boyfriend a ride. The demand for you to pick them up again later, though? Geez, what a self-entitled jerk. There was always the taxi option, or another friend that could drive. The trouble she got into with her parents was something she had coming.

Kevin was awesome. I'm sad we lost touch over the years.

I can't even describe that party. I just...I opened the door and there were naked people everywhere. I never went inside, so I don't know what all went on, but I can make some pretty good guesses.

Last I heard, she was in jail for robbery, but it's been a good ten years since I've heard anything about her so who knows where she is now.

I like these little bite-sized stories! Explores the notion of how we have so many associated memories, experiences, and emotions tied to an idea. Kevin, by far, is the star of the show here. Great job!

It's funny the things you remember even years after they happen, isn't it?

Thanks! :)

Elizabeth's party invite is heartbreaking.

And omg that naked drunken party! WTF? I'm SO glad you didn't pick them back up after that! The nerve of that girl!!

It was awful. She was diagnosed with brain cancer shortly after her first birthday, so as awful as it sounds, it was almost a blessing when she passed away. Awful, but still.

There was joy in it though. And they ended up donating nearly 200 books and dozens of toys to the hospital, which was incredible to see.

This is a really creative take on the prompt! The first invite made me go, "Whoa!" The third one had me welling up. Loved the one about the surprise party for Kevin-- that young man had class!

And the last one! Good for you for not going back for her.

Really enjoyed this! Well done!

It was an uber-wealthy private school and he was an only child. Also, side note, being the scholarship kid at an uber-wealthy private school SUCKS.

Kevin was an awesome kid and the party was a lot of fun.

That not going back for her was hard. I didn't sleep at all that night because I was so anxious. I was proud of myself, but it was freaking hard.
