It is pretty hilarious since Makoto thought Takanari was directing her to Shizumasa because he was being self-sacrificing and didn't want to interact with people or something like that, so she thought she was being supportive by saying "no I'm not going to talk to him I want to talk to you now". She doesn't really have any idea how much she missed the mark but his outburst about his friends and things is starting to give her a clue.
Well, Takanari isn't fond of socializing because people tire him out, but he does enjoy it at the same time. It's a double-edged sword really.
H-He does know that she's trying to be good and helpful. He just still resents her a bit! Once she learns how to approach more delicate situations with something less than a hammer, he'll let her hang with Shizumasa probably.
Takanari is a special, special kid. And Maguri could probably commit ten counts of murder, and Takanari would still love him just the same. That is never going to change, okay.
The thing with Maguri is that he's a bit worried of stopping being Takanari's best friend, but at the same time he BELIEVES completely in Takanari. THAT'S BASICALLY IT.
Wait. . . That Maguri is going to stop or that Takanari is going to stop thinking of him like that? Because Maguri will always be special by virtue of being first. Takanari's just got a different support system rigged in camp, so he can depend on other people. . . But Takanari sort of knows that Maguri understands some things a lot better than anyone in camp could.
In that male lead in a shoujo manga way? Yeah, he's very moe.
Shuri and Takanari are a glorious mess. Honestly, Shuri has the nice ability to stomp on Takanari's buttons a bit, but Takanari is repeatedly reminded that he just needs to shut up and listen to Shuri often. I think Takanari realizes that a lot of people don't bother doing that and tend to attack him more, like Takanari was doing, which doesn't help at all. Shuri has a lot of potential that gets exerted in weird ways-Not wrong at all, just unusual. There's also the fact that Takanari honestly respects what Shuri has to say in almost any situation, because he sees things from a different perspective. Right now, Takanari just wants to sit and absorb Shuri which is a challenge for him, but he intends to honestly try. He's really good at knowing how people work and so on, but Shuri is a mystery that he wants to understand just for the sake of him being a fellow human being if that makes sense. :|a
Haha ♥ sob, ever since Takanari started going out of his way to listen to Shuri, he skyrocketed in Shuri's opinion :( It's true that people dismiss Shuri's thoughts all the time, and just the fact that someone is evaluating his opinion as... a fellow human being! is very rare and mystifying and Shuri is at the point where he would gush a little positively if anyone else brought up Takanari in a conversation. in a tsunderedere way. But Shuri does appreciate it awfully and it's only in being treated like a regular decent person that he will start to act like one. You can affect more Shuris with honey than with vinegar.
I don't think Takanari even wants to redirect Shuri from the way he is at all. He would like for Shuri not to say things that annoy him, but even then. . . Takanari can soak up a lot before he finally reaches the point where he is openly frustrated with someone. So, if Shuri starts acting normal of his own accord, then that's okay. If he doesn't? That's okay too.
Hmm, Max. . . Takanari likes Max a lot! Obviously! But he's also aware that he can't possibly enter her realm and honestly do anything for her. She's in her own world, and he's alright with that. He just wants to show his support for her in his own way. . . And keep an eye out to make sure that she isn't overestimating herself. Really, Takanari gets the feeling that Max doesn't have her whole heart where it ought to be, isn't satisfied by her lot, and so on. But he doesn't know how to help her with that, since he has trouble finding the confidence to voice his thoughts
