I promise absolutely no coherency, and I may just be writing this because I can not do a GIP post.

I'm really just going to explain most of Takanari's actions within the game, since they were a bit elusive unless you've been stalking him and his developments in camp for awhile now.

Funnily enough, the game actually just happened to have extremely convenient timing. The fact of the matter is that after an interesting wake-up call with Nii, Konatsu, and Shizumasa, Takanari had to realize a couple of truths. They are:

1. Shizumasa is in love with him. Takanari was simply grappling with being able to be around Shizumasa without having to fear him, and maintaining the odd balance between them and Haine. Once he knew, Takanari knew that he had to answer properly, because it felt absolutely crucial to them. However, this ties into my third point. . .

2. The blurring of his feelings for Konatsu had reached an unacceptable level. Takanari does like Konatsu in a way that gets hard to distinguish between friendship and lust. However, he knows that it isn't helpful, kind, or healthy at all to keep, in essence, using Konatsu like that. Takanari respects and values him more than that, so just as much as he doesn't want to cheat on Haine-He doesn't want to hurt Konatsu.

3. Takanari had lost control of the bonds. He used Shizumasa's possessiveness to force him into keeping the bonds, and while Takanari could absolutely have survived without them after the game. . . He didn't want to because of Shizumasa. But just as Takanari doesn't want to be bound to Haine like he is with Konatsu and so on, he doesn't want to be bound with Shizumasa for the same reason.

So, to clear his head in essence and literally, Takanari had wanted to severe the bonds. . . Then, the game came up. It was the perfect chance, and from the first day, Takanari commented that the timing couldn't have been better. However, Takanari couldn't be transparent about that, because he didn't want to cause panic or ruin what others were enjoying. To be sure, Takanari does greatly enjoy and respect the bonds, but when it comes down to Haine versus anyone else. . . Haine always wins with Takanari. He also didn't tell Konatsu, because he knew how important it was to him. Frankly, Takanari doesn't always think things through. Even from the end of canon, he's willing to accept disappearing from the world, provided Haine chooses Shizumasa, without even thinking for an instant about his new found friends.

Takanari is dumb, but everyone knew that.

So, the game continued on, with Takanari playing to help the wolves win. He was slotted in that position, he wasn't going to deny anyone's, especially Raphael's, choice to keep the bonds, and so on. Meanthewhile, he only approached Raphael in helping him to destroy the bonds. . . Without going through the Disciplinary Committee and so on. (Remember: Takanari has Shizumasa and Konatsu which are people that are not going to get hurt on his watch on his team.) However, the game went awry at two points:

Raphael decided to out himself as a wolf which left Takanari's team as the only one remaining. He truly had managed to shoot himself in the foot at this point. . . But he kept going along with the game. Takanari had already decided to play the game, so why stop short? He also wasn't sure what would happen in the end, so he was determined not to gamble.

Then, Nii completely gave good ground for Takanari to destroy the bonds. Takanari was more than willing to sleep with Nii, if only because he was the only one on his team that would not make any sort of a big deal over it. But Shizumasa then Konatsu effectively stopped him which lead to. . . An interesting scene with Nii that had managed to invalidate Takanari's trust for the first time since he fell off a cliff.

Now, Max brought up a point that Takanari was being above and beyond manipulative. . . Except he wasn't! He handled each person differently, but Takanari never sat down in his head and said, "I'm going to use this person." Except for when Raphael decided to out himself, then he was a little ruthless. :') Rather, Debra was there to keep his sanity, so he didn't play as much of the game with her and rather just got his emotional catharsis where he could. If Debra had asked if he was a wolf. . . Then, he may have told the truth to her, but no one else merited high enough outside of his team. Hilariously, Takanari couldn't be as emotional towards Max because of the game which made it all the easier to play her a bit. He now appreciates that decision very much. Kon was gone too fast to matter, so Takanari really. . . Had no qualms about using anyone else.

Remember, this is the same guy who will make-out with your best friend just to fuck with your head. . . And someone who would leave a person who dedicates their life to him with his abusive brother while he goes to elope. Takanari is not only dumb but ruthless, which everyone did not know.

What came about from the game, though? Well, for the first time, Takanari had to face the ramifications of his selfish actions-Of hurting people for the sake of his Important People. I doubt Takanari will ever strike a middle ground; he is always unfailingly dedicated to those people who validate him. So, without so much as saying but showing, Takanari let everyone who could tell know where they stand. Of course, he does feel bad for it, as Takanari does value those people who would be friends with him very much. . . It's just a matter of knowing that such things are going to happen and did! If someone can't accept that that's how he is, then Takanari has no business with them without any hard feelings towards them. Frankly, Takanari is coming out of the game with the beginnings of a way of defending himself.

. . . Except where he really did want to get the snap beaten out of him, so everyone could feel a bit better about what he did. \(o_O)/

Oh, and he's gay for his twin.

You know what you doing. You can ask for specific characters or whatnot as well.
