Hey, it's good music. And it seems to promote good dreams (ironically enough) and restful sleep, like Mozart but more guitary. And while I grew up listening to Mozart, for better or for worse, one thing that it utterly lacks is guitar ( Read more... )

Interestingly enough, I've done the same with my copy of MoP. The first night I did it was accidental, as I dozed off to sleep while listening to it. But it was also the first good night's sleep in a long time. So I did it again the following night and slept pretty well, although "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" woke me up for a sec before I drifted back to sleep.

Honestly, I don't know why it is I can sleep so easy to a thrash metal album, yet CDs actually designed for sleep keep me awake.

Anthrax's version of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath puts me right to sleep, too. So does most of Slayer's Seasons in the Abyss album, which is somewhat unsettling because that album is also in my roadtrip music rotation. (I had a lot of good times on roadtrips with a friend who listened to a lot of Slayer) Especially Dead Skin Mask and the title song ( ... )
