Do you believe in love at first sight?
I...I'd like to say that I do, but I can't. Not yet, at least. How can I say whether or not I believe in love at first sight, when I've never experienced love at all? I mean, yes, I love my family and I think I love my friends (I hope they won't kill me for saying so), but when I read about love in books, I know I've never had that.
Is that what it really feels like, love? Does your stomach drop and do your palms get sweaty or is that something else? I admit, I do get that feeling (a little) when I look at a few different people, but I also get that right before I step into Potions and whatever it is I feel for Professor Snape, I'm pretty sure it's not love.
Maybe I'll know what love at first sight is someday. Or maybe I'll be convinced that it just doesn't exist. I don't know yet, though.
