Very nice. It makes one want to pull out a tissue. You really captured the real Neville. After reading OotP I could really see how hard it must be on Neville, he loves his parents, but at the same time they are really just as "dead" as Harry's.
Your Gran sounds like my uncle. Well, all of my family really.
I-I suppose I should introduce myself, shouldn't I? My name is Vir. I work for Londo Mollari, Ambassador and Prime Minister of Centauri Republic. Londo is acquainted with a few people from your world, but I'm afraid I don't know very much about it. I've read a few of your writings here, though, and I think, maybe, we have a few things in common.
I'm very sorry your parents are in the hospital and missed your birthday. We have a celebration that is somewhat similar on my world- it celebrates the anniversary of a Centauri male reaching adulthood. My tenth anniversary was recently, and Londo threw a huge party. It was the first Ascension Day party I've ever had. No one's ever cared about my growing older before.
So I guess, maybe, I know a little bit about how lonely it must be not to have your parents there to celebrate with you.
And I guess I should stop now before I start boring you. Sometimes I ramble. It's a bad habit of mine.
Your uncle sounds very much like... well, like my uncle.
I always enjoy meeting new, er, people? Hi, Vir! Thanks for stopping into my journal. I've had a couple of birthday parties before, but my relatives are all a lot older than me, so they're never any fun. I get cake sometimes, which is nice, though.
I didn't think you were rambling at all!
(ooc: Hey! I don't mind at all. And the brigade always needs a few more members, right? Thanks very much! :D)
Before I came to Babylon 5... that's where I live now. It's a space station in the Epsilon system, and... and this is where it gets confusing. This is such a strange device. I don't really understand how it works. Physics was never my best subject. I remember I used to frustrate my tutor with how slowly I picked it up... he was a little terrifying, my tutor

My parents, yeah, it's rough, but I still get to see them. Harry doesn't have that.
It's still something, right?
