What is God?

Interesting that you post on this today as I spent most of my day thinking about this yesterday.
As you know my thoughts veer much in the direction you're headed...having said that, I do enjoy going to church BUT most churches I have found have more of a, what is the word? Legalistic view of things? So what does one do? Compromise their beliefs in order to have that church home? Lack that church home in order to feel "right"?

I think you like church because it makes you feel like you belong to a community. I like it for that reason as well. However, these thoughts would be consdiered heresy and probably even blasphemous by most churches and church-goers. Man AS God? Intellect as spirit? Not gonna fly at your local community Christian church! LOL

Maybe the answer is to find that sense of community elsewhere, instead of trying to fit yourself (square peg) into church (round hole).
