I’ve struggled with how to articulate this story since it all started to come about. I have had a hard time finding the words to discuss the way my body betrayed me, the emotional toll of having surgery, the financial stress of having to pay a high insurance deductible while going on unpaid FMLA, and the feeling of being a burden on those I love

I am glad to hear you are on the mend, sweetie. What you are feeling sounds more than normal to me, and I think you are coping wonderfully. And just think of all the stories you can make up about your scar and how you got it that one time!

I'm sorry - SEVEN pound fibroid??? HEL-lo! I'm glad the surgery went well and all your internal organs are intact. I can only imagine how hard it was to recuperate afterwards. Bleargh. I'm happy you had people who could help you, and that they were loving and caring.
