Sent an email tonight to the landlord to see if he'll let me buy a dog for Wick. He doesn't know about it, because if the landlord says yes it will be a Christmas present. And if he says no... well, Wick doesn't need the disappointment ( Read more... )

I'll put out good dog-vibes. Dogs are a large portion of how I survived this long; their abilities to override PTSD is amazing.

Oh, how I can relate to the pacifist mind containing the occasional stabby-stabbity thoughts.

Yay for the party, and yay for Kainen doing what was right. He's easy to butt heads with, but he's got a good heart.

And just think - in a few more days you can pick my brain for an entire evening and morning! :)

Oh, if you do not yet have a volunteer, I'm happy to be "keeper of the keys" in regards to helping folks keep to the "don't drink and drive" house rule. That used to be my job at parties in my younger years, and I'm happy to take that up again if it's needed/wanted.

kainen really is a good guy for reasons like that. ultimately, i know that whatever's going on, he'll always be there if i need him to back me up on something.

i'm bummed that i won't be able to go to the party! i have saturday off, but since they put me on the schedule for sunday morning now, the prospects of leaving at eight in the morning to go to work seem pretty limited, lol.

Absolutely, glad to see you here! I suck at finding people on LiveJournal, it's kinda a mental clearing-ground that I refer back to, and am pleasantly surprised when people read. :)

The landlord said YES on the dog! Wick isn't going to know (early Christmas surprise) until we get her, I'm so excited. Looking into kennels, groomers, boarding houses, and all that good stuff now so it'll all be figured out way before she gets here.
