Modern technology is our friend

So who gets a journal and then doesn't post for several weeks? Someone whose virus protection turned on the poor, innocent journal and savaged it, just as Firefox updated and had a few problems, too. Sorting out what bit of the problem belonged to which misecrent was beyond me and I had to go beg help ( Read more... )

Hi Tara! I'm still alive! I'll hopefully mail you tonight and maybe we can get that interview posted tomorrow. I've just been eaten up by RL lately.

Are you enjoying LJ yet?

Just saying hello! I like your work; I find it very creative. I'm a little sad that you have finally *succumbed* to El-Jay - I used to admire you for keeping your independence. On the other hand, I'm happy that you are here. I just hope El-Jay doesn't disturb your amazing work.

Slow down something which gives a turtle competition for slow? I don't think you have to worry about my succumbed-ness for a bit. I am still poking at the idea doubtfully.

What will probably keep me at it is egoboo. Half the places where I had stories have vanished lately, comments and all. The comments go away and suddenly I miss them, even though I'm sure they don't have much to do with what keeps me writing.

I was thinking that if I put stories here I wouldn't lose them all the time, and I'd get the kick in the butt I need to actually finish some. Feels very selfish.

Next time you're feeling selfish, remember that we all want to read more stuff from you. You're benefiting all of us, too. :)

Welcome! Welcome!

I was delighted to learn that you have finally joined Live Journal for real. It really does seem to be the best place to be for the Snarry reader/writer at this time.

I'd like to see you post all your works here, as the community seems so much more stable than most archives have been proved to be lately.

It's probably way more ambitious than you want to be at this time, but you might want to check out Sam Vimes's LJ community where he posts all of his stories. He's set up and excellent resource for his works that is independent of the transient archives. http://sam-storyteller.livejournal.com/
