oh god, what a cruel spell. You've hit on a "thing" of mine there. I sometimes think of the "might have beens." The children that are never born. The fact that when I choose to not have any more children I am saying no to specific children. It's something that doesn't bear dwelling on.

Yes, and the idea will more impact for women than men, and the most for someone who had a miscarriage, I think. The story probably needs a second version from Snape's point of view.
Well, at least I learned how to do the edit, too. A friend suggests that, like posting to an archive, that it has to be put into plain text. Makes sense. Next time I will practice that!
I can't stop thinking about this. And how Snape might very well want a child - even a redheaded one - especially one with the personality that one seems to have. And who else would be willing to have a child with Snape? Maybe only this one person who has fallen in love with the potential child.
Snape and Ron could come to an arrangement which over time would evolve into something like mutual respect. People would be amazed at how well they function as a team.
Oh, how sad! Please tell me you won't leave it there. I should think that Ron's Gryffindor tendencies would have him hatching a crazy plan to make the child reality.
My, this is such a nice teaser! You aren't going to abandon it, are you? It could be turned into a nice sitcom or an angsty romance. So rich with possibilities!
But anyway, thanks for sharing! It's not every day that I come across such a nice, original spell.

I'd love to read Snape's thoughts on the thing.
