You aren't supposed to feel sorry for him. You aren't supposed to feel sorry for either of them. Thats part of what makes this story so original! LOL No, Ginny's not even begun to see her difficulties. At the moment its all a bit abstract to her in that she's not felt the baby move (that happens around 21 weeks), she's not have back pain and swollen ankles. Shes at the stage where she feels quite good (its the hormones). That'll change when her mother sends her a clothing package! LOL ( ... )

I know you did (typed 'Can't', that is), and I was simply saying that that's fine, you're not supposed to feel sorry for Draco.

Pregnancy scares the crap out of me too but it must be kind of profound to know that as a woman you are capable of growing new life inside. Bloody hurts like shit to get it out though! LOL

I think you're reight re: the termination decision, but that is for another chapter I think. She'll be terribly confused. If you read the reply I gave Rainpuddle, you'll see that I mentioned an angsty sort of scene so I think that'll fit in well there.

Draco is in dreamland over this because he's still ensconced in the safe, ordered and segregated world of the school, and it all seems very surreal. It's very easy for him to separate himself from the reality of the situation because he can go back to the common room and play chess and do his homework the same as he always has so nothing feels any different. But he does get the occasional burst of scary thought which is causing him consternation. I think that perhaps Ginny ( ... )

They are both in a very difficult situation, but also very different. Draco suffers privately while Ginny has to suffer public humilation. The poor dears! Of course they are both going to have a lot of what if thoughts because that is the nature of humans. But things will eventually work themselves out for better or worse, but somehow I see things getting worse before they get better!

Hee hee. I'm horrible to my characters aren't I? LOL Have you ever felt so scared, nervous and/or worried about something so much that it twists your stomach and stops you sleeping and you toss and turn trying to escape from the inevitable fate? Well there's going to be a scene like that later on... I've written a little bit of the post-birth scene, I might post it as a spoiler/teaser at some point...

Oooo...it's so good! Can't say I have much sympathy at all for Draco. He may even need a bit of smacking around ;- )

"You know that if the child's a boy, I'm going to have to come forward, don't you?"

I'm not even going to ask if it is a boy or a girl. Hmm... the clues could be telling or just explaining!

Oh... the twists this couple will go through. I'm waiting for the respective families reaction whne the sex of the child is revealed!

*thumbs up*

Well at the moment it's a boy (because I have a whole lot of plot arranged for that eventuality so telling you is hardly a spoiler as such), but I may be moved to change it if that is the will of the plot bunny...

Huh! He's losing sleep over this? Well so he bloody well should be! Just as he thought, If only he'd kept his cock in his pants, none of this would have happened.

I do feel for Gin, things are only going to get worse for her and for the most part she'll be facing it alone because it's not like Draco's going to be coming forward any time soon *shakes head*

Why do I get the feeling Snape knows exactly what's going on??

Brilliant chapter BTW! Apart from a few spelling errors *grins* but you did say it was unbetad.

It DOES take two to do the horizonatal tango though Jen, you know that VERY well (what with being a mother yourself and all), so I don't think ALL the blame can be apportioned onto Draco (at the moment). There will be a point later whereby this situation is revealed to be his fault through mistake and ignorance. This is part of one of the comments I wrote for Hanabisama:

As for the contraception, well it's a teeny spoiler but I'll divulge it anyway: In chapter 2 (I think) I wrote some 'mini flashback' type sequences where I summerised their three sexual encounters. In the first one they used a charm. In the second, when he was being contrite, they used a Potion AND a Charm (and note how I emphasised this in the text), and the third time it was again, just a charm. The contraception failed because they used a charm and a potion together, and the way the charm works is different to the way the potion works and the two cancel each other out, and Ginny being a Weasley... well, nuff said! LOLSo yes, it is all his fault really, but only ( ... )

Well, yes it does take two to tango, so to speak but poor Gin's the one copping all looks and snide remarks because he hasn't put his hand up. Okay, so she doesn't want him too (he'd be killed anyway and she'd end up raising the child on her own) but still she's suffering publicly and he's getting away scot free (apart from his own guilt). *whispers*it was his fault anyway*whispers*

They want to watch Snape, he's a very intelligent man and it won't take him long to work it out if they're not careful.

I have IC and ED betaing, but I'd be happy to go over this for you. I know there was another you asked me to do but for the life of me I can't remember which one it was. Anyway I haven't done chapters 1 or 2 but I'd be happy to give them a look *g* Email them to me - I've got a fairly quiet week *crosses fingers* so it won't take me long.
