I got a link to your journal from recycling and I really like what you've got so far. Particularly the flaming underwear. I'm adding you if that's OK. Thanks! -k
That's great -- and I will gladly repay the favor.
And yes, the narcissism needed for making a resume is, at best, uncomfortable but it is necessary. (Sorry replying to your post here as opposed to on your BLOG).
Hmmmmm ... necessary narcissism ... I like the way that sounds.
okay, so i mean no offense to any disney fan when i say
DISNEY IS PURE EVIL.
And it has nothing to do with the fact Disney has turned hollywood from a seedy place full of stripper stores and souvenir shops into a super mega mall with Old Navy and Abercrombie.
look, I've never seen a disney film that didn't begin or end with someone dying, or being seperated from their loved ones, or something like that.
The truth is, they always make me cry. I can't stand them. I would never let a child watch them because I know how they traumatized my tragic little soul :(
I'd rather root for those crazies Wacko, Yacko and Dot up in the water tower. But I guess I'm one of the only people who feel this way.
Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled Disney Programming.

I have to say that anything made by Disney after 1980 simply bites. At least the older ones use classic story lines that you know what to expect (that way if you have issues with people dying in the end and many of the other things that folks find offensive, you can avoid the story altogether). The new Disney shit just changes the story, even well-known ones, to fit their MO.
Personally, my favorite Disney feature is Alice in Wonderland. It is by far the darkest of the story lines and cartoons, yet no one dies. Of course it helps some that the story itself has been an interest of mine since I was 6 years old. It probably also helps that I have only seen a handful of Disney flicks, most of them older.
Anyway, the reason I ask this question is because most people have an opinion on it. It is a conversation starter. I have not found someone who either A) didn't have a favorite villain, B) thought Disney was the villain, or C) claimed to have never seen a Disney film. All of these choices start fairly interesting conversations, eh?

Well, in your defense, as well, Disney can be pretty evil ... I mean, seriously, any company that uses the tears and laughter of children to pay for their evil empire can't be good!
