Unless I'm just reading this entirely out of context, I think that was related to Burton and some guy (whom I don't know). I know how hard it is when a friend doesn't get along with the person you're dating. It's hard for the person in the middle (in this case Burton) because it hurts you when people talk about your "significant other" but at the same time you don't want your friend to think that you're against them. I can't speak for him (and maybe it isn't my place to say) but I'm sure that he doesn't mean it to offend you by trying not to get involved. He probably just doesn't want to get involved because he doesn't want to say anything to hurt any one. I've been in the middle of Jessica and Andrew for months now and I can promise you that whatever negative comments that person may be making about you...they just go in one ear and out of the other because when Jess used to say negative things about Andy (she doesn't any more because I asked her not to and as a good friend she respects that I love him even if she doesn't) I never

yeah i know how it is to be in the middle of somethng like that too...and its not that his friend is really saying negative things about me...its that he used to talk to me all the time and be my friend too and now he ignores me and tells burton that he should see other people. and if it were just any normal friend it wouldnt bother me but this is supposedly burtons best friend and someone he cares about so it bothers me....and i mean he cannot like me if he wants there are people i dislike but i dont treat them badly or anything...like i never told burton that i really didnt like this kid (eventhough i didnt when i first met him)and i was nice to him and friends with him because he was burtons friend...and if people are mean or say bad things to people that are important to me i tell them to stop...like you did with jessica...and burton hasnt like stuck up for me or anything (yet) and thats what bothers me the most i think...is that he just lets this kid be mean to me and tell burton he shouldnt be with me and stuff like that....but
