Hey I've been to London 3 times and it was raining everytime... don't let Pam fool you she hasn't got a thing on you in the weather department... but I do have to say London is better than East Lansing in many other ways.
Do you love it yet? I hope your 8 hour flight went better than mine! How do you feel about the tube? What have you seen so far? What tube stop is your place at? I want to hear all about it! Knowing you are there is making me miss it soooooo much! I'm jealous you get to spent a month listening to all the posh accents. I'm soo excited for you! I can't wait til you get back and we can have England conversations over tea! :) Love you have fun!
Oh my goodness. London is the best place ever. The people all have amazing style and no one is fat because they walk everywhere and eat organic food. I wish I could live here, get a fake accent, and just become one of the locals.
So far we've done toursity things and we've had great weather. We've seen/gone to: The Tower of London (including the Crown Jewels) The Tower Bridge Trafalgar Square Piccidily Circus Harrod's and surrounding shopping areas Dover Castle Canterbury The British Museum as well as a few pubs.
We're within walking distance of the Gloucester Rd. and Earl's Court tube stops. so that's convenient. That also puts us right in the heart of posh Kensington.
The only thing I'm hating is having to walk around in groups and obviously being a tourist. I can't wait until I can just hop on the tube with my pashmina scarf and iPod and go places on my own. It shouldn't be too long.
Hope your trip was better than mine...becky_kteMay 4 2006, 13:28:06 UTC
Well I am guessing you didnt get such in Germany for 28.5 hours due to snow so you are already ahead of me. What all have you seen so far. When I went to London it was nice like one day and was shitty out the rest. Have fun and enjoy your time away from the great state of Michigan.
