The biologist guy was the bomb, too. He gave a really interesting talk about the turtles up in the holding pen, before bringing them down to the sea -- it lasted ~ an hour and even the little kids were captivated.

In the wild, sea turtles all hatch at once, on the night of the full moon and sometimes a day or two after, and follow the moon's path across the water to the sea. They have a light sensitive receptor in their brains that head them toward the horizon and the streak of the moon's light across the water.

Amazing! Here the eggs are thought to be an aphrodisiac, so the biologists retrieve and re-bury them in protected plots of sand until they hatch.
