not to be totally insensitive, but this entry almost sounds like the prologue of a novel, or like it could be made into a short film. it's just so perfectly written.

i hope your brother adjusts soon. hopefully he'll find himself some friends or an escape from family stresses. i'm sure he'll miss you and you two can bug each other on yahoo. more than that, i hope your life settles down into something bright and comfortable.
