I finished two books today. Brunelleschi's Dome by Ross King, which is skinny but dense, I have been picking at for a month or so. Bloodhound by Tamora pierce, which is thick but good fun to read, I have polished off in under a week. I was also able to put Namaah's Kiss on hold at the library, which means I have that fun somewhere in my future. Now

DO NOT READ THE SCARLET LETTER. YOUR VACATION WILL BE RUINED FOREVER.
Now that that's out of my system:
1)The Rest is Noise is fantastic, but also very dense. It reads kind of like a very interesting textbooks at times. I'm still not done with it and I started the day after I got home, just about.
2)I really want to read Sandman.
3)I'm reading Wicked right now and it's fantastic. Saved me from several hours of boredom at jury duty, before I took ill in the court room and nearly barfed everywhere. Thanks for lending it to me.

1)I definately get that sense about TRiN. That's why I want to read it during the summer, when I'm not so swamped with schoolwork and actual textbooks. If I do read it this summer, I will probably read something fictional and fluffy at the same time, so I can have a break.
2)You're welcome to borrow mine. I finally broke down and bought the first volume, so I assume I will have to buy all of it just so it will look nice on my shelves. Adwards and critical acclaim aside, Sandman seems quite difficult to find in libraries.
3)Isn't it? I love Wicked. I have both sequels, if you have any interest in them. I find I'm very liberal about loaning out books all of a sudden, because I know I won't need them while I'm in Italy. This may or may not be wise.

That's what I've done with TRiN too. I'm going to check it out of the library again later this week and try to finish it, but I've been reading other books alongside it. It's a really cool book, just hard to get into for a little bit.
