I'm going to Japan in December. With Nat. For about two weeks. He wants me to contribute to the planning. Fine. I'd like to go to a hot spring or two, I'd like to eat excellent Japanese food (including, of course, excellent sushi), I'd like to meet his friends, I'd like to see the newer parts of a city, I'd like to see older parts of a city, I'd ( Read more... )

Amazing sushi: Well, it's hard to find bad sushi. Even the cheap-ass roundabout boat places are good by American standards. I have a recommendation for a standing-only, ultra-cheap, excellent place in Asakusabashi. Now you've done it! mycelia October 23 2007, 03:02:54 UTC
Billy, thank you so much for all of the very specific suggestions. I am so pleased, I'm almost speechless.... almost.

Now I'm got a jealous boyfriend! Can you believe it? He's jealous that you know more little hideaway areas in Japan than he does... I just can't win with him.

If you think of anything else, just drop me a note: littlebitnsea@yahoo.com or leave it here.

Oh, and I'll say hi and "yoroshiku" if I get a chance.

Woo-hoo! I win this round!

Seriously, if you want step-by-step instructions on any of those locations, I can do it. I can even Google Earth it all for ya. How fun would that be?
