All the KFC commercials during Battlestar have made me want to go to KFC. All the weeks of commercials have aggregated in my brain, and now I want to try their value menu. Frakking blunt force advertising being effective...
THERE IS ONLY ONE TUBE OF TOOTHPASTE LEFT IN THE UNIVERSE! Man, how much does that suck?
You know what? I'm a total sucker. I actually teared up when Boomer was showing Tyrol the life she'd invented for them. So, Chief, it's ok, I understand how you were fooled, what with the pretty yellow walls and the wine and the fake child. She was very convincing. (Have we learned about cylon projection before? It didn't sound familiar...)
Helo, I do not get how you were fooled. Haven't we been through this already? With the kinda creepy Not!Athena on the basestar? Tyrol could recognize Boomer straight away, but you're just like "Durr! Close enough!" Seriously, how did you not notice that wasn't your wife??? Wait, why am I yelling at a fictional character?
Writers! Why did you do this? Why did you have to fuck up Helo/Athena like this? Why could you not just let them be? Why could you not just let there be one good thing?? OH MY GOD THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS.
Anyway, I found Kara's storyline fairly predictable. ("That's her dad. He's in her head. And he's a cylon! Oh, Hera wrote her some music..." Yeah, somehow I got dots on a page = notes, but not Boomer = evil.) I still enjoyed it, though, even though it could have been maybe a little shorter and still gotten the point across. I think I'm like the only person not annoyed by Kara and her Special Destiny.
I love reaction shots of Saul. Man, Michael Hogan's one eye acts the shit out of scenes. Also, Tori and Ellen apparently drink Midori sours.
Galactica is dying! It's really sad to watch the ship come apart, for some reason. It's kind of a character unto itself.
ETA: Just saw that someone on TWoP pointed out that Hera said she was drawing stars, which could mean that the notes to "All Along the Watchtower" are actually a star map. And next week's episode is titled "Islanded in a Stream of Stars." Just thought that was a really cool (and probable) theory.
Dollhouse is still driving me nuts, and yet, I will tune in again next week.
