Prisoner of Love; part 2

For this post at drawmelot

Merlin/Arthur
Merlin is pretty much singularly devoted to Arthur and the fulfillment of their destiny. To the extent he’s starting to turn his back on old friends and what he used to believe in. For example lying no longer reduces him to a sweaty wreck-even when Gaius does the eyebrows thing; he (feebly) attempts to kill Modred despite not being able to before AND finally the stuff with Morgana … The means justifies the end perhaps for Merlin when it comes to protecting Arthur.
Arthur is at his most honest and open when he’s with Merlin :D Especially in the finale! It’s sweet how there relationship has become so much more than servant/master. Arthur, just admit that you take Merlin on those silly horse rides ‘cos you totally love him!

Lance/Merlin
Another reason that I wanted Lance to have his eyes open (besides to stare longingly at Gwen) is because, well, Lance is the only one of the group who is not temporarily rendered blind or unconscious when Merlin uses his magic. Good on him.

Arthur/Gwen/Lance
Red strings are supposed link lovers by their pinkies… hence the love triangle between these three.

Gwen/Arthur
They’ve got the same sort of pose but in reverse; basically it’s supposed to represent the divide between them in terms of class and the differences in their personality’s.

Gwen/Lance
Lance is looking on from afar, his pose in less open because he doesn’t want his feelings to get in the way of Gwen and Arthur relationship (oh Lance you’re way too noble) so for now he seems content to just pine silently over Gwen from… wherever he is now. And Gwen… well I think she made it clear who she’d rather be with if Lance gave her the choice.

Merlin/Morgana
Morgana is silent-screaming for help. Merlin, Gauis, shame on you. Why didn’t you explain Morgana’s powers to her when you realised she was a Seer? Instead you turn your back on her, just letting her wonder around trying to understand all that stuff for herself. The saddest part for me is that Morgana trusted Merlin so much, he could have told her about his own powers.. Why Merlin? Why?
Is it any wonder that she goes ‘evil’. *sigh*

Gwen/Morgana
They seemed to have gotten distant, what with Gwen not mentioning anything about Arthur or Lance and Morgana feeling alienated because of her magic.

Phew! I feel like I just wrote an essay, and you probably feel like you read (a crappy) one! Thanks though :D
