Kevin was alone in his room lying on his bed while thinking of unwanted thoughts. He thought of the scene that happened earlier where Kiseop was seated on Kibum’s lap on the couch. Kibum’s arms were tightly wrapped around the latter’s waist while they were watching a movie. They were both whispering to each other’s ear which was disgustingly sweet. He couldn’t take it and decided to go leave for his room hurriedly so he wouldn’t be questioned.
Warm tears started to stream down Kevin’s pale at the ridiculous thought that it used to be him in Kibum’s possessive but loving embrace. He cried harder when a memory entered his mind…
Flashback…
Kevin was awoken with soft lips pressing down his cheek and a whisper of a sweet ‘Happy Birthday, Kev.’ He opened his eyes seeing his hyung smiling at him. “Get up and eat breakfast, Binnie.” Kibum said with his gentle voice as he reached out his hand. Kevin took Kibum’s hand and he let himself be led out of the room to the kitchen. The younger saw two plates with very delicious looking bacon and eggs when he stopped in front of the dining table.
“You cooked these?” Kevin asked.
“Yes. Those aren’t ordinary eggs and bacon. They’re special just for you. So, stop staring and eat already
before it becomes cold.” the latter replied and chuckled. Kevin sat down and started eating his special breakfast made by his favorite hyung.
When they were done eating and Kibum was washing the dishes, Kevin asked another question.
“Hyung, where are the other members?”
“They’re still sleeping. Go shower now and dress up as casually as you can. I’ll just wait for you in the living room once I’m done washing these. I’ll take you somewhere. Oh, and in case you would worry that the other members would look for us later, I left notes in their rooms.” Kibum said and looked at Kevin who was still sitting in the dining room with a big grin.
“Ne~” Kevin replied and stood up to shower and get ready. He got so excited at the thought that his hyung was bringing him somewhere. When he finished getting ready, he stepped out of his room and went to the awaiting Kibum in their living room.
“I’m done.” Kevin was standing at the end of the hallway that connected their rooms to the living room. The older turned around and gaped at how pretty and cute Kevin was. He couldn’t believe how pretty and cute his boyfriend could be in just this cute light blue hoodie, jeans and sneakers.
Kevin blushed at Kibum’s reaction and just ran to him, grabbed his hand and mumbled a ‘Let’s go.’ before walking to the door. They both talked about random things while Kibum was driving to go to their destination. Finally, Kibum pulled up somewhere. He got out of the car and went to the other side to open the door for Kevin.
“We’re here, princess,” Kibum said as he let Kevin step out of the car. The younger observed the place and Kibum saw the excitement in the latter’s eyes. He knew this was the best place he could bring Kevin. A place where they would have a lot of fun…Lotte World. They played a lot of games and Kibum won a lot of prizes for his adorable boyfriend. They had spent the whole day just playing, riding rides and not worrying or thinking about anything except for enjoying. They had so much fun but time flew by fast and it was already getting dark.
They headed for their last ride before they would go home, the cable car. They both went in the cable car and stared at the view. The view of the amusement park was so amazing and just plainly beautiful. They were both standing up admiring the view while Kibum wrapped his arms around Kevin’s waist from behind and placed his chin on top of Kevin’s shoulder.
“Happy Birthday, my angel,” Kibum whispered.
“I-I love you, hyung.” Kevin said softly.
Kibum turned Kevin around and claimed the younger boy’s lips in a gentle and loving kiss. As they parted, both of them smiled at each other sweetly before Kevin turned around again. They faced the beautiful view of the amusement park once again and Kibum remained in his position of hugging Kevin from behind.
…End of Flashback
It was indeed one of the best days of his life. But now it was just left as a painful memory that would always make him break down into tears. He didn’t know how he lost the one he loved the most, his everything… to someone else. One day, a new member just comes and there, Kibum was gone. He couldn’t accept that there was no ‘us’ between him and Kibum anymore.
He couldn’t take it. He had to get out of their dorm before someone hears him crying. He couldn’t let anyone in this household know. He got up from his bed, wore his jacket and went out of his room only looking down. As he passed the living room, he managed to mumble an ‘I’m going out.’ without stuttering.
He went in front of the door to put on his shoes and Soohyun suddenly appears in front of him saying, “Kevin-ah, Gwaenchana?” The younger slowly nodded and made his way quickly out of the door leaving Soohyun with a worried face.
He only thought of one place to go. A place that was quite near. A place where the only person who could understand him was. The person who Kevin could tell anything or everything to. The only person who doesn’t let him hide his feelings and lets him take it all out. He ran through a few streets of Seoul, tears never stop falling down from his eyes. He ran inside a building and ran up some stairs. He quickly walked to a door and knocked on it frantically as he gasped for air. The door opened revealing a shocked Hyungjun. Kevin ran to him and clenched the elder’s shirt while he cried harder in his chest.
“H-hyung…It hurts s-so much. I-I can’t take it anymore…” Kevin said and cried even more. Hyungjun closed the door and wrapped his arms around the younger boy and rubbed his back with soothing circles. He tried walking slowly to go to the living room but when they were half way there, Kevin’s legs gave in and he fell on the floor. Hyungjun sat on the floor and hugged the smaller tighter and tried to calm him down. His plan of calming Kevin down failed pitifully. Hyungjun’s hear broke every time his dongsaeng was like this. But it was the first time Kevin went to his apartment at this late hour. He would usually just call and tell him everything and Hyungjun would comfort him. Kevin couldn’t stop crying, it was hurting him too much already.
My heart aches and screams for you behind these shadows only allowed to be seen by Hyungjun hyung. Everytime I would see your smile, my heart beats faster…but breaks when you’re suddenly with him. I would worry that you might notice my heart that can’t seem to let you go. And I’m scared that the gap between us would get bigger. Can you just love me again…like you loved me before? I got stuck in my own dreamland that I forgot there was such thing as reality. It hurts so much that you don’t have the heart to love me again `cause your heart belongs to him now. It hurts as if there are a thousand swords piercing through my heart. It hurts because I still love you who only loved me in the past. It hurts me so much to know that I can never have you back and be called as ‘mine’ again. I don’t want to say this but I want to erase every memory we had. I want to erase you from my head and my heart. And I…I want you…to be happy…with h…him…so I can move on. But can I do it? Can my heart move on? Will my heart be able to accept it when the time comes that I have finally forgotten all our memories? Will my heart be able to continue beating…without you…in it?
