this is the story of firsts for miryo and narsha.
The first time they met, Hyojin was skeptical. She had joined the group because of JeA, a person from her old high school, and well, being a singer would be awesome, right? JeA had told her that there was another member, because there was supposed to be five members in the end, that was an excellent rapper. Hyojin didn’t mind, saying that they would have to work together later on. She was wrong.
Mihye was a tomboy. She had long hair, sure, but it wasn’t brushed and sloppily styled. She didn’t wear makeup; she wore sweat pants and a Super Mario t-shirt. She worked very hard, danced very hard, and it showed by the circles under her eyes and the bruises on her arms. And when Hyojin first saw her: she hated her.
“So, what do you think about Mihye?” JeA asks, scooping some more cheap Chinese food in her mouth. Hyojin rolls her eyes, gently placing some more rice in her bowl and shrugging her shoulders, brushing her hair from her mouth.
“I don’t know why you picked her. She doesn’t look like an idol,” Hyojin answers, looking up to the leader. JeA laughs, throwing her head back, slapping Hyojin’s arm playfully. Hyojin gives her a death glare, feeding herself more pork.
When JeA’s settled down, she sips on the water provided at the restaurant. “I picked her because she’s one of the biggest female rappers in South Korea. If we add her to our group, we’ll have an experience rapper, Hyojin. And then our group will be amazing!” JeA pays the bill and leaves Hyojin to herself.

The first time they practice, Hyojin realizes that Mihye may be as good as JeA says she is. She has her earphones on, her hands moving in some pattern that Hyojin sees other rappers use, his foot tapping with the beat, her lips moving with unknown lyrics. Hyojin watches her for a good thirty minutes, until the rapper’s eyes catch her’s. All the air in her lungs disappears by the other’s piercing gaze.
“What?” She asks, and Hyojin realizes that Mihye must be older than her. How old, she isn’t sure, but it makes her feel small - now she’s the youngest. Will she end up being the maknae? She swallows, shaking her head and whispering out an apology. Mihye nods in return, slipping her earphones off and finding the manager.
Hyojin’s eyes follow her and stay watching the door until she comes back in, having lost her hoodie and now sporting a shirt with barely any sleeves. Mihye’s collarbones stick out from her neck. The manager claps, rounding the other three members up, telling them to start practicing.
It’s a simple dance. Hyojin knows that she’ll be the lead dancer by the stiffer movements from JeA and Mihye. She smirks; the song stays in her head for the rest of the day.
“You guys should go eat downstairs. Your practice is over. JeA,” The manager calls the leader, “We may have our last two members. You pick, of course.” JeA nods and follows the manager.
“Let’s go,” Mihye says, grabbing her wrist and pulling her down the stairs. Hyojin throws the hand off, crossing her arms and following the rapper to the small cafeteria at the base of the building. She just orders a small salad, while Mihye orders a large plate of rice and sauce. They sit across from each other. Hyojin eats slowly, watching as Mihye fills her spoon with rice time after time, her eyes on her plate the whole time.
JeA doesn’t seem to be coming.
“Can you sing?” Mihye asks, making Hyojin look up from her soda to stare at her. Mihye repeats the question.
“Yes, of course I can,” Hyojin answers, “I wouldn’t be here if I couldn’t.” Mihye smirks, sipping on some Coke and she chuckles when the bottle is taken away.
“You dance well, though. And you have the idol look,” Mihye smiles. The words grow quieter as she finishes, and Hyojin watches as her eyes look down at her lap.
“You rap well - and screw idol looks,” Hyojin says. Mihye looks up at her and they share a smile.
It was the first compliment they gave each other.

The first time Ga-In appears, Mihye and Hyojin exchange glances. They’ve grown to be good friends, seeing as JeA’s always busy looking for the last few members of their no name girl group. Ga-In is the last member, JeA assures them, but being six years younger than the rest of the members, Mihye and Hyojin are wondering.
“She looks Goth,” Mihye says, passing her a water bottle. Hyojin accepts it, covering her mouth with her hand so that Mihye can’t see her smile. They watch the maknae get used to the training rooms as they relax, ready for three years of preparation before they’ll finally debut. The other member is off with JeA - and Ga-In has only really spoken to the pair three times since they’ve met.
“She doesn’t - I’ll bet she’ll be fine. She has a good voice, which is good.” Mihye rolls her eyes, hitting the younger’s cheek.
“You have a good voice but you aren’t fine,” Mihye comments, kicking her leg. Hyojin threatens her with her heel, and the rapper backs off.
Ga-In fits in well with the other members. They train for two years and it’s terrible and sickly. It’s during the last year of training that they share their first night alone. They’ve all crammed them in a dorm so that they can get used to each other, and JeA, Ga-In and the other member are off shopping, leaving the two and a movie.
“The girl is stupid. Why doesn’t she go with Kim Yongshik?” Mihye asks. Hyojin shrugs, continuing to watch the movie. After three minutes, Mihye turns it off.
“Why did you do that?” Hyojin asks. Mihye shrugs. “It was boring.” Hyojin glares at her, rolling her eyes and trying to get up from the sofa, but Mihye pulls her back down.
“Get your hand off of me! I wanna sleep!”
“Talk with me.”
That was the first time Mihye rapped Hyojin to sleep.

The first time they get on the stage, Hyojin is jumping with joy and excitement. Ga-In has a wild smirk on her face. JeA is trying to control the group. Mihye has her arms crossed, and she doesn’t talk to anyone but the manager and the stylists. Hyojin doesn’t know if she likes the look or not - but when she steps onto the stage and raps, Hyojin’s eyes are stuck on her.
Mihye isn’t Mihye anymore. It’s Miryo. And Hyojin finds her way sexier than Ga-In or JeA.
Miryo disappears when they get back to the dorm. Mihye is back and her hands are shaking with the nervousness that remains. Hyojin hugs her, telling her how great she did. JeA and Ga-In watches the two chat together, all up until Ga-In asks for food and Hyojin suggests that they all get some food out (they did just do the performance of their lives, they deserve it).
When Mihye is drunk, she’s drunk. She falls onto Hyojin’s side. It’s the first time that they share their kiss, outside the restaurant. Ga-In and JeA left an hour before them, and Mihye had drunk a few more glasses of soju since then.
Hyojin’s eyes widen when Mihye’s drunken breath reaches her nostrils. She traps her against a wall, her hands on either side of her head. Mihye smirks and leans in, kissing her sloppily. Hyojin tries moving away, but she’s pinned. Mihye slips her tongue into Hyojin’s parted lips, and Hyojin slowly starts kissing back, her eyes fluttering close and her hands moving to Mihye’s hips. The rapper smirks into the kiss.
**
The first time Mihye gets jealous is during the filming of Abracadabra. She skimmed the script, not listening to what happens at the last part, because she doesn’t care what’ll happen to Ga-In. She likes the plot and the dance and the song, and Hyojin looks really sexy in whatever outfit they put on.
Especially the wig, but Mihye never admits to that.
“Miryo, you can go - your filming is finished,” the manager says. She bows but accepts a chair given to her by some of the stage crew. She smirks at the bomb on the chest and the whole scene in front of her, but when she notices the next scene, her eyes grew envious.
Narsha’s character leans in, about to kiss Ga-In on the lips-
Mihye runs out of the set, stomping her feet the whole time. They have to shoot the scene again because of it.
**
The first time they have sex is after Hyojin’s first solo album.
Nothing really changes.
**
“Another new year,” Mihye says, lacing their fingers together. Hyojin smirks, leaning over and kissing Mihye on the lips.
“And finally your solo album.”
“Won’t be as good as yours.”
“As if - you hate my songs.”
“I dunno, you do look pretty hot in your wigs.”
“Wigs aren’t as good as your husky voice.”
“You’re the one that can sing, remember?”
“Shut up you and kiss me.”
