I can totally picture the moment when they came up with the name for thier band: two longhairs on a porch sharing a spliff and one of them says something like "Man, I'm so glad we're friends and it's cool cuz evertime we hang out we spark a doobie so it's almost like we're doobie friends, but no...wait!...it's like we're doobie brothers!!!!"

And the other guy was like "Whoa, man!"

BTW I have no idea what TDB sounds like. Were they on the Big Lebowski soundtrack at all? It seems like they might've been.
