what about water bladders of sorts used for hikers and bikers? Little packs that fit on the back, or in a purse, with a long hose, and can be incorporated into the costume?

I've been wondering about supplies, in general: water, electrolyte replenishers, some fruit and/or sports bars, rainbow cookies, sunscreen, camera etc. I don't really want to have to carry all this myself. I'm wondering now whether we want to make PrideKits the night or week before, and allocate supplies among ourselves.

If we had 1L of water, one packet of Gatorade crystals, and one sports bar per person, each person would have to carry a small pack--about the size of the backpack corbet had last year (I think I have a photo of it at home, but not here). We could distribute other items among people: a couple of bottles of sunscreen, some minor first-aid and self-repair supplies, duct tape, maybe a couple of people could bring cameras and agree to let others use them.

Alternatively, we could find or create a small waggon.

One litre of water is not nearly enough for me for the parade, at least not given the weather we had last year. Thus, the issue, for me at least.

But, yes, all of those ideas are good ones.

Hurm. You are correct. I think I had meant to suggest that maybe we also have a waggon. Not sure now.

Two litres is a lot of water to carry around.Maybe we could have some people carry more water and less other stuff?

Waggons. We need waggons. Or porters.

Pride is wonderful and I loved it the times I went. Sadly I doubt my legs could handle it this year, but maybe next!

I do have to say that the idea of you dressed up as a gay garden gnome makes me laugh in a way that if you ever need to cheer me up from now on just say GGG! :)

I want to join in, but I'm not sure if I'm in town then, or working another Pride venue during the parade... can I be a maybe till I know more?

You can definitely be a maybe. We just need to give them a vague idea of numbers so they know how much space to allot us on the marshalling area.
