[Jenny's at the well throwing a long rope down the hole, and securing it to the ground. She knows whoever goes down there is going to need a way up, and though she can't guarantee that nobody will cut the rope, it's worth a chance. As soon as she's got it ready, she'll be repelling down herself. Of course, she has no idea how far down the hole is,

I dropped a rope down, but it came a bit short of the bottom. We'll have to either give someone a lift up, or someone's going to have to jump or find some way to climb up to it.
