It's probably for the best that you at least got to finish growing up with the Pack rather than utterly alone, although I think it is very good to keep the lessons of your parents.

Perhaps a day is coming for you to follow their example and leave, maybe with your own handsome stranger.

Never be afraid to be who you are, and don't let people (human or not) make you feel as though you have to apoligize for anything that you feel is right.

Your pack can't be the last. There has to be somone else out there. Your pack doesn't want to be found, what makes you think the other might not want to be found?

Just stay stong, that's all you can do.

I learned a long time ago that just because you share blood with someone, doesn't make them family. There's a pack out there waiting for you, and they'll only want you for you. Sometimes it's better to be lonely then you sell yourself out for company.

Your parents must have felt really strongly about their position to leave their pack. Wolves need to be together, to be family. I think if you keep trying you can bring change to the pack, I mean your uncle/intended mate is the leader and he wants you to lead with him. If you take on your responsibility to the pack you maybe can save it. All your family wants is to stay together as one, some are just young and confused like Rafe and his 'five'. Don't be fooled, being a hero and accepting your destiny won't likely make you comfortable, anyone can see that the story of a hero is a tragic one. But you just may find what is missing in your heart, and be made whole.
