Hi. :) Uh, I want to ask if you can put me up as a mod again since I'm not that busy with school anymore. I asked Nikki about it and she said yes. I hope its okay with you. Just tell me what to do afterwards.
As for what to do ... well I'm not sure. The only thing I really do is deal with the members list (cause nobody else can edit my post at prive_elite1 cause LJ is stupid) and stamp people.
I was thinking maybe we can try having contests again and then you can think of the themes and manage points or something like that.
Also something I should do still but have been neglecting is the whole promoting thing so thats always something to do.
Okay now I'm going on and on but our member of the month thing has been pretty lacking recently so perhaps we can have some sort of a points system ... for ex.
a picture post - 3 points promoting to 5 people - 5 points participating in the theme - 10 points
That way we can have more activity and more promotion and yadda yadda. I'll see what nikki thinks and then you can start thinking of ideas for that.
hey :) i don't know if i'm out of place saying this.. or if i'm going to the wrong person to talk to but here it goes anyway! prive_elite seems like it needs help. i mean, i don't see many mods doing much work.. they don't seem very dedicated. you have a few though, & maybe their work is just going unnoticed, but if you or any of the other mods are looking for help, i'd love to help. i was a mod at alluring when it had over 300 members. just know that it can take a lot to keep a community "perfect," but it's what members/applicants look for! i'm not asking for a mod position, maybe credit for helping, but i don't need the position! just a thought, and if you want to redirect me to someone else, or no one else at all, let me know! peace :)
Yeah I totally agree, and I do as much as I can ... but theres only so much one person can do. The best person to ask about things like this would be you_love_it_ and most likely she'll be all for it.
Hi, I don't know if you remember me but I applied at prive_elite (x2!) I obviouly didn't want to post in the comm in case I got banned so I decided to ask you. Is there a rule against applying a third time? It might seem pretty lame but I have some reasons: 1)I've got loads new pictures (everyone has decided to have parties!) 2)Since I went from 2 votes to almost half votes I thought I might try again. 3)"If at first you don't succeed try and try again" Do you think it's worth it??
Seeing as you're obviously getting better pictures (as the last amount of votes on your application showed) I'd go for it. tasha didn't get in til her third application.
So I'd go for it, just tell everybody you're trying one more time and then go for it. Worse case senerio, you don't get in, but hey, its just the interet and you don't seem to get too bothered by it.
But I think anymore than 3 times would be too much. Oh and no there isn't a rule against applying a third time.
