Thank you so much for your comment! I'm glad your dog is okay, too after that.

It was so horrible. I still feel bad, but am mostly furious at the stupid vet (yes, he is an ASS!) for what he did and said to me and my fiance. I have yet to call back and give them a piece of my mind, but maybe it's not worth it? I called our regular vet and she said I handled the dog/chocolate situation fine and they are worried about their phone not working. Hopefully they get it fixed or I won't know what to do!

Holy crap! Why is he a vet?

And.....if no one was going to be there to watch them, uh, what if they did run into trouble? Good choice in getting your dogs the hell out of there!!

I am glad that they are fine now. Don't beat yourself up. I'm sure that vet NEVER makes mistakes either. Bad things sometimes happen...especially with pets.

Thanks, Em!

Haha, the vet actually has made mistakes! I heard when I first moved to this town that someone's dog went in for a routine spay or neuter and died because of the anesthesia or something! How horrible is that??? And, when I told my clinical supervisor about my ordeal from Monday, she said that her cat got fleas from being at the vet! The cat was in for something and the vet called her and said, "Your cat has fleas," to which she replied, "No, she doesn't!" And the vet said he was going to spray her (the cat) with flea stuff. When my supervisor went to pick up the cat, THEN she had fleas!!! WTF?

I have been very vocal to those around me about NEVER EVER EVER going to the vet in town for any reason because of what a horrible job he does!

Thanks for reaffirming my decision to bring them home. They're all just fine and dandy now. Jelly Bean is back to begging for people food and trying to be sneaking and eat Nolan's LifeSaver mints! Naughty doggie!
