1. Goodbye, love. Pairing: HaeHyuk, Angst.
Summary: And the patrons wondered, as they usually did on Friday nights after listening to the redhead sing, who could have hurt the singer so.
"Y-You are such a bad person."
Lee Donghae nodded and reached over to wipe the tears falling from his loved one's eyes. "I know, Hyukjae. I'm sorry."
Lee Hyukjae sniffed and leaned into Donghae's touch. The other man sighed and pulled him close. In turn, Hyukjae wrapped his arms around Donghae and tried to stop crying. "I told you not to break my heart, you bastard."
Despite his words, Hyukjae's statement contained no heat and Donghae managed a weak smile. "I know. Stop crying, Hyuk. You know I'm not worth it."
The other laughed brokenly. "Damn you, i-if you're going to be this sweet when you're about to leave me, I won't be able to h-hate you."
"I don't want you to hate me, Hyukjae." Donghae pulled him closer and whispered against his ear, "Please don't. I won't be able to bear it."
"Then don't leave me, you idiot! Do you really expect me to be able to let you go this easily?" Hyukjae pulled away and glared at Donghae accusingly. "You are so unfair, Donghae. I would have preferred if you left me without saying goodbye, at least I'd feel angry enough to hate you. If you say goodbye like this, I won't be able to let you go and no matter what I do, I would still wait for you!"
The brunette sighed, sadness in his eyes. "I know, Hyuk. I had half a mind to leave without saying anything but you know me, I'm selfish. I wanted to see you...at least for the last time."
"Don't say that! You're going to come back!" Hyukjae grabbed a handful of Donghae's shirt. "Promise me. Promise me you'll come back."
"...I'm sorry, Hyukjae."
The redhead held his mournful gaze for a few seconds more before his hand fell away. His posture slumped as he turned his head. "Just...go."
"Hyuk---"
Hyukjae moved just as Donghae's hand came to touch him. "Go, Donghae. Don't---Don't make this harder than it already is."
Donghae wanted to cry, to plead, to apologize again. But he did nothing.
He wanted to stay. But he had no choice.
So, he forced his arms to fall to his sides even though all he wanted to do was embrace the beautiful, broken man before him, to put the pieces back together.
Breathing in deeply to calm the raging emotions inside him, he drank in the sight of Hyukjae.
After a long while, he turned and walked away.
Goodbye, love.
2. FICTION
The bar was full, as it always had been during Friday nights.
The usual patrons sat on their usual seats, looking impatient and occasionally craning their necks to look for their favorite performer: the redhead who sang soulfully of broken hearts and broken promises, of letting go and moving on, of leaving and being left behind. The one who sang of loving unconditionally despite everything.
When it was finally the redhead's turn to sing, the room broke out into enthusiastic applause and excited murmurs filled the room.
The room was plunged into darkness for a few seconds before a single spotlight came on and roamed the room before it focused on a slim figure on the stage.
Applause rang out again as Eunhyuk lifted his head, red hair obscuring one eye, and smiled at his crowd.
The melody started slow, the pure sounds of the piano reverberating throughout the silent bar room and one by one, the patrons recognized the opening strains of one of the newly released songs quickly gaining popularity among the younger generation.
The audience looked at each other in question. The song was upbeat and was not Eunhyuk's usual preference, would he be able to pull it off?
The singer gazed off at a distance as the he began to sing, the words falling perfectly from his lips.
I still can’t forget you
I still can’t trust everything
Even today I can’t send you away like this
The audience gasped in shock as he broke off into an abrupt rap. Who could have thought that Eunhyuk could rap?
I will rewrite it again, our story will not end
I will bury fact that reality is seeping into my skin for now
I rewrite it once again, the start: beginning with you and I smiling happily
In case you will leave me, the background is a small room without an exit
As the sound became more upbeat, the room listened to the lyrics properly.
I kiss you as if there is nothing wrong
I can’t leave your sweet presence
There is no such thing as an end for us
Like this again
I can’t forget you
I am writing the story that will never end in my heart...
I will hold on to you ...
I won’t let you go ...
Even today, I’m in the story of you and I that hasn’t ended still, in fiction
Right now, there are only happy stories here
The very happy stories of just the two of us (Different from reality)
Is written here, it’s slowly filling up
I run towards you and embrace you
I can’t never let you go from my embrace
There is no such thing as an end for us...
I will say this again, one more time
Right now you are next to me
I’m believing that...
The song mellowed out again and Eunhyuk's voice became softer, sadder, and they understood that he chose such a song because it represented his feelings perfectly.
Right now I’m writing such a happy story
But it is all just a wish still...
I’m happy (in fiction)
We are together (in fiction)
Now is the start (in fiction)
There is no end (in fiction)...
The applause, when it came, was subdued and Eunhyuk left the stage with a hand subtly covering his eyes. As he turned, the light caught a trail of moisture on his cheek.
And the patrons wondered, as they usually did on Friday nights after listening to the redhead sing, who could have hurt the singer so.
-----------
A thousand miles away, a brunette had just finished watching the low quality video his brother had sent him. He couldn't see the singer properly but he had recognized the voice as soon as he heard it.
It was, after all, the voice which had sung him to sleep many times before and was the voice which was currently haunting his dreams.
Lee Donghae turned off his phone and closed his eyes to stop his tears, a bitter smile on his pale face.

A/N: The song obviously is not mine. It's entitled FICTION by B2ST and is currently the song I have on replay right now. The story has many holes, I know, and I have nothing to cover them...so, um, just tell me what you think? Please? Thanks. :)))
