Carla's Canvas

Finally have steps 1 and 2 done on my canvas. It's pretty funky-looking...but I'm hoping it'll liven up when the other steps are applied. I'm only working on the one--might've screwed up there :D

This is beautiful! I love the colors.
Is the photo color, or did you colorize it?

It's pretty girly looking, so I think I'll hang it in my daughter Chloe's room when it's finished. The little girl I used was found on one of the image CDs my friend Patty gave me (www.tuscanrose.com)the CD is full of pretty little vintage images like this one.

thanks again

Oh, how wonderfully dreamy! I love the colors and the feeling!

What is your stamp image?

I used three stamps with gesso, but you can't see them very well in the scan. One was an ivy stamp, one was of script writing, and the other was an alphabet stamp.

This piece has a great, overall feel to it. I really love its feminine slant. The placement of the image is just perfect and what you're doing with the space around it is very nice. Great job!!

I love it! I really like the texture of the paper. Thae motif goes well with the period of the picture! Wish I was your little girl :)
