Stacy walked around Clinton's apartment, looking at all of his pictures and nic-nacs as she waited for Clinton finish getting ready. They had a public event to go to and Helen informed them to arrive together. Stacy finished getting ready a little early so she came to his apartment and they hung out for a while before he disappeared into his room and got dressed.
She sat down at the piano and hit a few keys, playing around a little. She didn't know how to play, but Clinton taught her what the keys and a few notes were. She grabbed a piece of sheet music and poised her right hand at middle C. She took her left hand and pointed to the first note and counted the lines. "Aha! It's a G! Okay, G, G, G, G, FOUND IT!" She exclaimed and pressed down on the key. Slowly, but surely she started to figure out the trebel cleff of the song. Clinton came down the steps and smiled, walking over to her.
"Need some help, London?"
"No! I wanna do it! I wanna do it!" She chanted like a five-year-old.
He held his hands up and said, "Okay! Okay!"
He sat nex to her and watched her play the first few measures that she had memorized for him.
"See! I did that all by myself!" She claimed, beaming at him.
He smiled back and said, "Mind if I try now?"
She shrugged her shoulders and scoot over a little so he could position his hands comfortably. He surprised her when he put his arm around her and then poised his hands on the keys. She wrapped her arm around his waist and looked up at him as he started to play the song and sing.
"I've been alone with you inside my mind
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
I sometimes see you pass outside my door
Hello, is it me you're looking for?"
He looked at her and their eyes locked, her singing along with him.
"I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
'Cause you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much, I love you ..."
He leaned down and kissed her softly before he sang the next line.
"I long to see the sunlight in your hair."
"And tell you time and time again how much I care." She replied.
"Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow
Hello, I've just got to let you know
'Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely, or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying, I love you ..."
They sang with their faces only inches apart. He hands paused for a second and she took a chance and kissed him this time. They parted and his hands started to move again, singing with her.
"Hello, is it me you're looking for?
'Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying ... I love you."
He finished playing the notes and then captured her soft lips again. After a while they seperated and stood up from the piano bench.
"Ahem, so," He said, grabbing his suit jacket and putting it on as she clutched her purse and threw her coat over her arm. "We should get going. Helen will kill us if we're late again."
She agreed and they headed out of his apartment, smiles gracing their faces and their hands locked.
